Pregnant Woman and Her Husband Die in a Car Crash in Hit-and-Run on the Way to the Hospital
A pregnant woman told her husband that she was feeling ill this past Sunday. The two got into the car and were hit in an accident that killed both of them. The baby was born prematurely and survived, according to police. The driver of the car that hit the couple drove off after the accident, only making matters worse for the young family-to-be.
Nachman andRaizy Glauber, both 21, were hit by a BMW. The woman was thrown from the car and her body landed under a parked tractor-trailer, according to witnesses. Her husband was pinned underneath the car and workers had to cut the roof of the car to get him out.
Both husband and wife were declared dead on arrival at the hospital, dying from blunt force trauma. On last update, the son was in serious condition, and the man who drove the BMW is being sought by police. The couple was married just one year ago and lived in a New York community of Orthodox Jews.
