Josh Brolin and Diane Lane thought that their marriage would last forever, as that is the intention , when you get married. Others knew that the marriage was headed for disaster, from the beginning. The couple has come to a grueling conclusion and have decided to end their marriage. After trying to hang on for 11years, the couple just can’t seem to see eye to eye.
From the beginning of the marriage there were signs of trouble. At just four months into their marriage, the duo was involved in a domestic dispute that topped headlines. Brolin opened up about it to Playboy in 2010. Brolin has had several run-ins with the law, which could be one reason their marriage became strained beyond repair.
In 2005 Lane told People Magazine, “I feel much better having a strong man with me who makes me feel embraced and secure. It’s wonderful.” “I wasn’t going to go relationship shopping with my young daughter. I didn’t want her to get attached to something that wasn’t going to last.”
The couple was still going strong in 2009 when Lane told Redbook, “It’s just invigorating to be around him. Josh completes me because I’m so attracted to his otherness.” So what happened? The couple, after 11 years, have decided that it is just not working out. Reps for the couple confirmed the break up. A source told People, “They’ve been separated for several months. This was a hard decision for both of them to make. They were together for 11 years, the relationship just ran its course.” An insider close to the couple told Us Weekly, who broke the news, reported that there was “no villian” in the divorce and that the split was mutual.
